Church Ministry
AfricaHope places Christ at the center of all our ministries. We believe that Christ offers the best way of living. We believe that Christians should be beacons of hope and agents of positive change in their communities. We believe that Christians within a culture have the best understanding of what Christianity looks like within that culture. Our work with local churches is centered in these principles.
AfricaHope missionaries coordinate, encourage, and work alongside local churches and Christians to plant churches. We train Christians in the Bible, evangelism, and church leadership. Our goal is to facilitate existing churches in reaching out to their neighboring communities to share Christ’s Good News for living.
AfricaHope places a significant emphasis on discipleship. We believe that if Christians are growing in their relationship with God, their lives will change. Growing Christians will become more involved in responding to the needs of their church and community.
AfricaHope provides training for the development and improvement of specific church ministries. We work with churches to develop programs that meet the needs in their community. We offer training in orphan, children’s, youth, worship, and benevolence ministries and facilitate dialogue between existing programs.
Because we seek to do our church ministries in such a way that they affect a community’s development and their ability to deal with crises, we include Christians and churches in all of our programs. Our desire is that the church would be the instrument of positive change in such areas as HIV/AIDS, agricultural development, and education.
