Jordan & Lee Anne Johnson
Serving as the AfricaHope Assistant Project Director and Finance Director (respectively)
Jordan was raised in Florissant, Missouri; he studied Intercultural Studies at Lincoln Christian University from 2000 to 2002. Lee Anne grew up in Lee’s Summit, Missouri and studied biology at Truman State University. They met on an NMSI internship to Kenya in 2003 and were married in 2004. They returned to Kenya to serve long-term with AfricaHope.
Jordan and Lee Anne have been serving with New Mission Systems International (NMSI) in various roles since 2003. Both have a passion for serving the spiritually and materially poor through holistic ministry; thus they’ve been involved in discipleship, administrative, and training roles in Kenya as well as in NMSI’s headquarters in Fort Myers, Florida. In September 2010, they returned to Narok, Kenya, to continue serving the Maasai people of that region with AfricaHope.
Jordan serves as the Assistant Director for AfricaHope Kenya, mentoring missionaries and national staff. He manages AfricaHope’s international public relations and coordinates their numerous ministry projects, including church leadership training, food and water security, educational and health development, and ministry to orphans and their caregivers.
Lee Anne oversees AfricaHope’s financial accounts and is developing a ministry to women as a doula and childbirth educator with the goal of enhancing birthing practices and discipling women.
